{"id":4232,"date":"2018-03-17T11:11:54","date_gmt":"2018-03-17T16:11:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/stager.tv\/?p=4232"},"modified":"2020-07-25T18:57:28","modified_gmt":"2020-07-25T23:57:28","slug":"a-progressive-education-reader","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stager.tv\/?p=4232","title":{"rendered":"A Progressive Education Reader"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Educators, citizens, and policy-makers would benefit from remembering two salient truths.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We stand on the shoulders of giants.<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;Every problem in education has been solved somewhere.&#8221; (Bill Clinton)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For those reasons, I have finally finished curating a seminal collection of progressive education texts for an anthology entitled, &#8220;<em><strong>Dreams of Democratic Education: An Anthology for Educators Wishing to Stand Between Children and the Madness<\/strong><\/em>.&#8221; The eBook contains full texts by Ferrer, Dewey, Patri, The School of Barbiana, Malaguzzi, Papert, Lakoff, and a guy named Stager. (The sources are admittedly by male authors, but I was constrained by the materials available in the public domain.
