Christopher Hitchens on Barack Obama

“You often hear it said, of some political or other opportunist, that he would sell his own grandmother if it would suit his interests. But you seldom, if ever, see this notorious transaction actually being performed, which is why I am slightly surprised that Obama got away with it so easily. (Yet why do I say I am surprised? He still gets away with absolutely everything.)”

  1. > He still gets away with absolutely everything.

Well – he hasn’t gotten away with fixing elections or invading Iraq.

The bar is still pretty high.

  2. Well, if you can judge a man by his enemies, I’d call a hit-piece by the pro-war, neo-conservative, Christopher Hitchens a feather in Obama’s cap.

  3. Barack Obama is a very special person since he is the first black president of the United States of America. his ability as a president is also very good and his plans for economic recovery is a good one.
